Favourite hotel in Lemnos

I have been coming to Lemnos for many years and Afrodite Hotel is the only place I come back to. It’s a really good location. You can get to the best beach bar in minutes, and access town within a 10 minute walk. The rooms are spacious and very well taken care of. There is a Nespresso machine, an ironing board, a stocked kitchen. The staff are super friendly and really help make it a special stay. I can’t recommend it enough! It is perfect for couples, individuals, and families.

Excellent location and friendly staff

We stayed in late August 2021. The hotel is located on a quiet street five minutes from the sandy beach (at the excellent Manos Bach bar) and a ten minute walk into the pedestrianised main street. The rooms are spacious with a big balcony, good air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. Christina at reception was exceptionally welcoming and charming, and easily arranged car hire, taxis and restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We’re looking forward to coming back!

We stayed here on a work trip. George, his mum and all the staff were amazing. The family run hotel is a perfect stay for work or pleasure. The hotel, location, food and most importantly service were all TOP and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you. Tom

The accommodation was squeaky clean with really friendly staff doing rounds everyday, as well as being extremely helpful in the reception. The location was great since it is in a walking distance from the center as well as being really close to a family firendly beach. All in all it was a great experience and we would be glad to return one day!

Excellent accomadation,close to the ameneties

The accommadation was excellent. We payed a little more than we normally do when visiting Greece and its islands but we certainly received a lot for our money. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The furniture was of good quality including the balcony furniture,not plastic.The air conditioning was excellent, mosquito netting over all the doors and windows,a safe in the room, quality pillows not flimsy flat pillows. The balcony was quite spacious with a clothes dryer and good furniture as mentioned previously and we had a great view of the castle, sea and surrounding hills.Cleaners were always pleasant and spoke and had a smile each time we saw them. A special mention must go to the 2 girls on the reception,Katerina and Georgia.Both of whom were always very pleasant and courteous greeting you with a smile and a hello. When asked questions they did their best to answer even if it meant going away and finding the answer and informing you at a later time.I cannot praise them highly enough. I have been to many appartments/hotels in my life but i can honestly say the customer service provided by Katerina has never been bettered, she is such a professional and a treasure. The location was fine,5 mins to a lovely beach with three beach bars /tavernas and the sea was really shallow so excellent for children. There were numerous sunbeds available, just buy a drink and you could stay there all day. A 15 minute walk brought you to the centre of Myrinna where there were plenty of shops ,Tavernas and cafes etc.Here was another beach,without sunbeds,and not as shallow as the local beeach but still very nice. There is a further beach near to the port which is again very shallow and does have sunbeds and you can watch the comimg and going of the boats and ferries as you relax. The castle is a must to look around,there are great views of Myrinna and its surroundings from here and there are plenty of information boards dotted around the castle. We hired a car for 8 days and explored lots of beaches further afield and visited the historical sites. Lemnos is a beautiful island and was everything and more that i had read about it. I reluctantly have posted this review as it is a double edged sword as i wanted to share our experiences with people to state how wonderful it is but on the other hand i want it to stay as it is ,quiet,relaxing with extremely friendly locals. We will most definitely return and to Afrodite apartments. I forgot to mention that the sunsets are beautiful with the sun goung down behind Mount Athos in Halkidiki on the mainland.
