Not worth the money

I can't believe some of the good reviews for this hotel, yes it's in a nice position near the sea but that's all, everything else is poor, think they should do away with all inclusive as the food and drinks are poor quality, better hotels than this for the money they charge, its a rip off

Fantastic hotel

BRILLIANT.... Just got back and feel so relaxed. It's a 3 star and a very good one. It's are 2nd time here and nothing changed. Its in a ideal location. Straight into sea if suits or into a great pool. The odd comment on this site is from folk who like to complain and think when they book a 3 star hotel and expect a 5 star. It's got very clean rooms and cleaned every day. The hotel is great with plenty of sunbeds so no panic in the mornings. Little kids play area and kids pool if needed. It's family run and they are great and so friendly and helpful. Staff are great to. Food is great but 3 star +. Remember it's not 5 star. There is plenty and very clean area . Drinks are great to and plenty of choice. It's a stunning place and we're booking again. Near the town if you want to go shopping and plenty of bars and restaurants if you want to nip in. Honestly...don't take note of the GRUMPY SODS on here. Take note of the majority.. it's BRILLIANT.

Beautiful location, disappointing all inclusive experience

We arrived late at night, and the lovely owner greeted us by the coach. He'd left sandwiches for us as it was too late to find any other food, which I thought was a very thoughtful gesture! The room itself was clean, spacious and had a fantastic view of the beach and mountains. The beds were comfortable (not so much if you don't like a hard mattress!). The bathroom had a great shower too. Everything about the location of this hotel is spectacular and I couldn't fault that aspect of our stay. The beach is stunning! It's pebbly and small but the sea is right there on your doorstep. The pool is big, with a jacuzzi and kiddie pool too. There are plenty of sun loungers and adequate space to rotate them with the sun 🌞 However. When we went down for breakfast on the first morning, I have to say I was very disappointed. There is very little choice. The scrambled eggs I suspect were made from powdered eggs, because they were awful and dry. The sausages were tiny hotdogs, and the mushrooms tinned. We ended up eating bread most mornings and pastries if they were on offer. By the time lunch came around, it was the same thing. Very little in terms of choice. Some of the traditional choices were lovely, for example, they had pork, meatballs etc, however, it was all very repetitive and just a bit... meh. As a big foodie, I found it rather basic and none of the dishes made me go 'wow, that's delicious!'. Unfortunately, 4 days out of 5 we ate out in the village that was only a five minute walk. There was absolutely no vibe in the bar whatsoever, which subsequently is the same place you eat. They had no entertainment, no music, so there was little choice but to go out in the evening and find somewhere else to have cocktails and an atmosphere. The all inclusive drinks only included basic spirits, wine and beer. No cocktails. The wine was terrible, and considering how gorgeous the local village wine is, its a shame they do not provide this for guests rather than the cheap box wine they were handing out. Also, the bar is only open 11am - 11pm. It's all inclusive, it should be open from 9am and til late! Also, there were times when you couldn't get anything. No food, no drinks. They shut the bar at 10am after breakfast, didn't reopen until 11am. Then, after lunch finished, you had to wait until 4pm to get a 'snack', which was laughable at best. Three trays with cheap squares of pizza, and pastries. No chips, no crisps, no ice cream. Nothing. You expect to be able to get food all day when you go all inclusive, so technically, I don't even think they can class this service as such! Comparing this hotel to other all inclusive I've stayed at, this one is no where near up to scratch. In my opinion, they are very much doing everything on the cheap, which reflects badly on their guests. I wouldn't recommend staying here for the food, but for the location and cleanliness, then yes, definitely. If I was to be completely honest with the owners, I would say ditch all inclusive, because its really letting your hotel down. Overall, I had a good stay here and the local restaurants and bars made up for the disappointing all inclusive. If you want to go somewhere for good food that is included, I would not recommend this hotel.

Superb hotel, perfect location

Just back from a glorious weeks stay at Konstantin Hotel. Konstatin. Doris and the team can not do enough for you to ensure you have a fantastic holiday. The hotel is in the perfect location right on the beach front yet only 10 mins from Alykes, where you will find plenty of nice restaurants and bars if you want them. The hotel is spotless and clean, and the food was fabulous. We will definitely be returning again as thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful 3* hotel, staff, food and location.

General: I’m not quite sure what hotel people were talking about when I read some of the reviews for Konstantin Beach Hotel because it wasn’t the one I stayed in! This one (yes it is the same one in Alykes) was brilliant. Hotel/reception/dining/rooms. Beautifully clean everywhere especially the rooms which had clean sheets and towels every other day. Reception had ample sofas in a lovely area. The dining room was spotless which again got cleaned twice a day. In one area there were a few sofas to relax if you didn’t want to sit outside. We had a room for three (15 year old girl) which was a great size with a lovely balcony with a table and three chairs. TV and a safe. Air con was €10 a day. There is no evening entertainment so if you’re looking for a ‘Butlin’s’ type of holiday, then this place is not for you. It is quiet and calm with a wonderful relaxed feel to it. Pool/sun beds. The pool was beautiful and had an added extra in the form of a jacuzzi which was turned on twice a day. Loads of sun beds and yes, some people left towels on them but you just got another one and put it wherever you wanted to be, no hassle. Again, clean and tidy everywhere. Food/drinks. This is a 3* hotel so definitely not a la carte dining but the food was good and wholesome. I’m a vegetarian and I never had the same thing twice. The salad bar varied from day to day and there was soup every day too. Fresh bread and puddings also on offer. I was pleased to see chicken nuggets on the menu only once!! 🤣 If there had been anything I needed or wanted, I know that I could have asked and they would have done it for me. The chef made me a vegetarian moussaka. Again, one or two reviews mentioned watered down drinks! I didn’t experience anything like that and I drank lemonade/coke and other soft drinks and plenty of gin and rum-definitely not watered down 🤪 Location/sea. This hotel is a five minute walk to a lovely area full of shops, tavernas and bars where you can watch sport if you want to. Just around the corner is ‘Sydney’ a well stocked family shop that sells just about everything. The beach is right over a small wall or a step down and you’re right there. Yes it’s pebbly but a few steps into the sea and it’s sand. I’d advise taking beach shoes (or buying some) or wearing flip flops like I did. The sea is absolutely stunning, so clear and warm you just won’t want to get out. You can walk all the way up the beach to the harbour where you might see a Loggerhead turtle if you’re lucky. There’s ‘Sam’s’ water sport right next door if you’re looking for a bit of adventure. Staff. What can I say. All the staff are exceptionally polite and can’t do enough for you. Konstantin is a true gem, the hotel is so lucky to have him. He will go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable.
