A fuir horrible

C’est un groupe de 5 hôtels, avec uniquement 3 piscines donc très peu de transats libres La cantine est centralisée, nous avons dû aller au restaurant pour manger correctement. Cet hôtel ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles Le personnel est très désagréable ne sait pas dire bonjour, ils ne considèrent pas les clients de l’hôtel. A fuir si vous voulez passer de bonnes vacances

Helt greit hotell

Pent og rent hotell. Meget lav skillevegg imellom noen av verandaene, lite privatliv der når man føler man deler uteplassen sin med flere fremmede. Vi var fire pers på en bestilling som hadde bestilt to rom, vi fikk rom i hver vår ende av hotellet, de fremmede vi «delte» altan med kom tidligere samme dag. Passerte den bittelille resepsjonen (som vi måtte lete etter ved ankomst om natta) hver gang vi skulle på rommet, ikke alltid resepsjonisten gadd å kikke opp og hilse når vi passerte. Frokosten var veldig bra, resten av måltidene kjøpte vi andre steder da dette hotellet ikke kunne tilby a la carte. Veldig lite barområde med få sitteplasser som for øvrig var de samme stolene som tilhørte bassengområdet, derfor flekkete og til tider våte puter i stolene. Meget bra renhold på rommet, renholdere smite og hilste alltid. Hadde kanskje for høye forventninger til dette hotellet etter anmeldesene, men vi hadde et helt greit opphold.

great view

i head a great time here evrything was in right place they gave us some cute braclet with sumerbeach logo so we know where to go it was a place where evrything made sence the staff was good verykind , the waiter the recpesion helped us and guide us for what we wanted to do but the view was amagaizin if u have a room in front of the beach and wake up at 7 in morning you would be amazed by the view

Mare boutique beach holiday

Firstly I'd like to say a huge thank you for a wonderful holiday. The location is a little slice of heaven, it was so nice being able to see the sea, and be walking distance from the lovely georgioupolis town and square. There is a very small patch of beautiful sandy beach right outside, that looks a bit rocky in the sea, but when the sea was calm it was our favourite spot. There were lots of fish to see and soft sand underfoot as you went in, you could swim out deeper easily. On the windy day when the waves were choppy, we had to swim at the mare suites beach (because of the rocks). This was freely accessible, many more sunbeds but the beach is more pebbly. All round great location for a beach break. The pool is more a plunge pool, but lovely atmosphere all round, was always somewhere to sit, the included drinks were nice, when i wanted something fancier it wasn't expensive. It's not somewhere for entertainment, it was relaxed ideal for peaceful couples holiday. The staff were all great, the reps, receptionist, bar tenders and restaurant staff were all incredibly nice and welcoming. As others have said the food is OK. At the start of the holiday, there were fresh vine leaves, fresh fruit salad, baklava and other really delicious treats, this was missing later in the week. But we always found something , including vegetarian, to eat at the hotel. We ate out a few times, so we could have some typical cretan dishes we really wanted to try, and some gyros, these were missing from the hotel. The hotel was lovely, but just not quite what I think of as 4 star. It is hard to explain but it didn't quite have that polish, just a bit rough round the edges. The room was only deep cleaned before our arrival, and the same shampoo splashes from the first day remained on the wall our whole holiday. Every day they forgot to top up the tea and milk. Room facilities were OK, very dated TV, and a broken reading light were a bit annoying. My only real complaint is about it not being truly all inclusive, water was only available in the bar in 200ml glasses. The mini fridge was not topped up with extra water. I was having to go to the supermarket frequently to buy 2 litre bottles for the fridge in our room. Luckily we were just round the corner from a friendly and affordable supermarket. If we had been in a resort type location it would have been impossible. They really need to fix this. Not a problem with the hotel, but a heads up if looking to book. The accessibility is terrible, I would not recommend to elderly relatives. No way to access the restaurant without stairs. Thank you again for a lovely break, we all round feel we got good value for money.

A real review

Location hotel rooms and staff all exceptional. Breakfast good, lunch average and dinners very disappointing. Expect to spend money on eating out in the evening. We arrived at 2 am to be told we were at the blue suites instead of the mare boutique which is what we had booked. We were told to rest for the night and the issue would be sorted in the morning. However on arrival at our room, it was spacious clean and with a fantastic balcony view. We had two rooms which were adjacent to each other, so we decided to stay at the suites. The main restaurant is at the mare gardens the other 2 have pool side bars where u can eat. The food is prepared at the gardens and distributed out to the others. The selection is limited and repetitive and basic. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Overall if there was an option to do bed and breakfast we would 100% return to this hotel. We read a lot of negative reviews but apart from the poor food selection they couldn’t have been more wrong. Also Georgioupoli is a stunning location with lots of beautiful beaches and tavernas. Of thinking of doing excursions please think twice about it, the land train is a lovely idea and very cute however the locations are quite touristy and a bit of a waste of money. If you want a fantastic meal experience go to Poseidon you will not be disappointed
