Amazing week in the sun

We had an amazing week at the Santo Miramare , the hotel is spotless the cleaner for our room was fab amazing towel folding - thank you we were in 137 - as we didn’t have her name . Went with TUI the rep and guides were fab . The bar staff were great a big thank you to Maria who works so hard and is friendly and helpful. The surrounding area provides great places to eat , the hotel beach is great but we never had an issue getting a bed by the pool . Breakfast can be busy but fab selection and good quality . Beds comfy - thank you for an amazing experience.

We found that the hotel was very clean and tidy,the staff are really friendly and helpful.the food was excellent would recommend this hotel and there restaurant.the hotel is only a few metres from the beach,the walk along the beach is really good.

Absolutely loved this hotel!

Just home from a wonderful stay at this hotel. Checked in and taken to our room by the amazing Edmund..we were up a few stairs so it was great that he did all the carrying for all the guests who arrived and departed. ROOM; Was smaller than I expected but beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lovely balcony looking out over the pool and sea. We were on the first floor so the views from the 2nd floor must have been even better! One thing we never quite settled with was the shape of the room..making the bed sit at an angle in the room. Wardrobe space was good but there wasn't anywhere to put our suitcases. Sadly the largest case had to be put on the lovely sofa, putting it out of use. Good cold fridge. Nice to have a modern electronic safe free of charge. Lovely walk in shower in the bathroom and always hot water. I assumed that because of the grading our tour company rated the hotel that there would be at least a kettle in the room so was disappointed to find there wasn't one. First evening I asked at reception if there was any available. Nothing like an early cuppa, sat on the balcony watching the sun rise. No problem..a kettle, 2 cups and saucers with teaspoon arrived about 5 mins after we got back to the room. That's what I call customer service! Our cleaner Maria was excellent. Whatever she used smelled gorgeous and made you feel it really had been cleaned. BREAKFAST: So, always the Cooked English Breakfast..bacon was not our traditional meat and the sausage was like the hot dog sausages. Tasted OK..Beans, Tomatoes, Mushrooms etc to accompany it. Then, the local Olives, Hams, Cheese etc. Porridge, Breads...a good selection really. Very popular was the little automatic Pancake machine that constantly churned out these little delights..plenty of jams, Chocolate Nutella to go with them. What I liked was being able to take a proper pot of boiling water and jug of milk to the table to enjoy my tea at my leisure. We were only B&B so never had the evening meal..Therefore can't comment. POOLS : 3 of them. One main big pool that was close to the pool and snack bar. Usually had music playing. A children's pool and what we preferred, the quiet pool.. we love reading and it was lovely. Slightly annoying though when parents allow their children to scream and dive in the pool on all their blow up pool toys..The main pool is so much bigger ..spoiled a few afternoons..until one guest pointed out that this was the ' Quiet Pool' .. POOL SNACK BAR: All the staff at the hotel were so polite and helpful. Always a smile when they brought your drink or food. Most served at breakfast and then went over to the Pool Bar. Although it looked a bit on the expensive side, the portion size and quality was very good. We learned our lesson ordering 2 x Chicken Club Sandwiches.. We never ordered 2 again! RECEPTION: Really helpful staff..big shout out to George. So helpful, whether its arranging a tour, sorting an issue out in your room. We had a toilet that wouldn't stop running ..reported and within 15mins the maintenance guy was there to sort it. I stumbled on the cobbles up in Thira and came back in a lot of pain. He was up off his seat, asking if I wanted ice, pain relief..a Doctor? Brilliant. BEACH: Never used the beach to actually sun bathe on..but Christina ran it well. Yet another staff member who helped at breakfast then went to the beach. SO .. overall we absolutely loved this hotel. We loved the staff, the food..everything. It was well situated close to the restaurants that are on the little main road outside. Its a 20 minute walk to Perissa for a change of scenery.

Nice hotel, freezing pool

Lovely clean hotel. Room a bit basic but modern & absolutely fine with a nice view of the pool. Two pools and a jacuzzi which are lovely but freezing! Not many people get in further than their knees even in the hottest part of the day! Lovely restaurants and bars, best ones are a mile walk into Perissa. Breakfast in the hotel and the pool snack bar are great Hiring a quad bike is a great way to see the whole island. We booked through reception and it was waiting at the hotel for us next morning. Very convenient, although it was possibly the tattiest bike on the road Plenty of sun beds mid September and weather still hot Entertainment two nights a week A couple singing and playing guitar were fun. The singer on Wednesdays is a drunk chain smoker who’s very rude. I wouldn’t hang around for him although his voice is ok. Much better entertainment in local bars and restaurants We had a great time

Amazing hotel, 10/10, will definitely be returning in the future

This has been the best hotel we have ever stopped at. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very modern, the beds were so comfy it was the best weeks sleep we have had on holiday. The bathroom was perfect and there was no surrounding noise at night, even on nights where there was live music at the pool bar we couldn’t hear a thing and we were in a room close by. The pool bar is lovely, the food is the best I’ve had from a pool bar and the staff are very friendly. We had no issues getting a sun bed and there was plenty free even after 9/10am. There is also free beach beds for the hotel guests right outside the hotel on a lovely beach, this is viewed by many as the best beach in Santorini and there is many day trips of people from other parts coming to this beach. The hotel has their own private bit of beach for hotel guests only, with waitress service and free sun beds. If you walk 2 minutes up the beach it’s €20 for a sun-bed so this is a great addition for hotel guests. We saw many sunsets whilst in Santorini but the best experience was wandering down to the hotel beach sunbeds to watch the sunrise, completely free with no one else around ( see photos). Before going I had read reviews and went with the idea that breakfast wouldn’t be great. This couldn’t have been further from the truth, breakfast was so lovely. There is so much choice at the buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, cereals, yoghurts, lovely fresh fruit, meats & cheeses, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, pancakes, sweet treats, lovely fruit juices, coffee’s, all sorts of teas and much more!) The staff in the breakfast area were lovely and very friendly also. The breakfast area isn’t huge but it works perfectly fine. The staff all throughout the hotel are very kind and friendly, from the bar staff, the restaurant staff, the reception staff, the maids and the maintenance staff. They all deserve a big thank you for how great they are. The location suited us perfectly, we are a couple in our late 20’s and whilst we like good food and a few drinks we don’t like rowdy places. There were no English bars in sight which was perfect for us, the bars and restaurants are all locally owned and authentic. Straight outside the hotel to the left and right there is a cluster of bars and restaurants. They were quiet so we mostly walked right 25 minutes to Perissa, this is a flat, easy walk in one direction and there was more bars & restaurants which were busier there. Seeing different areas of Santorini (such as Perissa) made me realise how happy I was to be staying at this hotel, busier areas had hotels that were much smaller and a lot more compact due to their location. We only returned from our holiday today and we’ve already been looking at booking this hotel again next year. Thank you for a brilliant stay.
