Wonderfull hotel !

We visited for one week. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very clean. The ambiance is Nice and relaxed. The staff is super Nice and friendly. The waiter at the beach bar is such a Nice man!! We enjoyed oud stay very much and hope to vond back! 10/10!!

Great place and location

We visited here in August for a family holiday for 7 nights. The apartments were clean and very pretty outside. The staff were very friendly and always said good morning to us. The breakfast buffet was small but there was plenty to eat and it was all very fresh. The location of the apartment was ideal as it was situated on the beach. There was a charge for the sun loungers on the beach but the sun loungers around the pool were free of charge. The pool area was small and quiet but was ideal for us. Theres a beach bar for drinks and food and also a supermarket nearby to grab some drinks and snacks for the pool or the room (much cheaper than the bar). The apartment itself needed a little renovation but it was clean and did the job. When on holiday we hardley spend time in our hotel anyway so we dont get hung up on the small flaws. I would definitely stay here again if we return next time. Really enjoyed our stay.

Average appartments hotel, good location

Galeana appartments hotel is an average one and appartments need severe renovation. The hotel is well located infront of the sea and next to the restaurants and commercial shops. There is parking for only four cars, so parking is a problem if you have a rented car. Breakfast is average, but service personnel polite and helpful. The air conditioning in rooms has an extra daily charge of 6 €/day if you choose to use it and there is no f&b service offered to the beach in conjuction to the rest hotels/facilities next to the hotel both ways. Sunbeds of the hotel's beach have extra charge for each use which is 2,5€ per sunbed, but they charge a minimum of 5 euro even if it is used by just one person. Reception services offered only from 9am to 9pm. Daily room cleaning does not include daily change of used towels, so there is an issue with this.

Galeana Beach Hotel 🏩

Hello, my name is Christina. I love spending my holidays at the seaside, so I took three weeks in Galeana Beach Hotel in June 2019. The staff is wonderful, the people here are very warm, friendly and helpful. My room included a table, two chairs, two beds, two bedside tables, a big mirror, a TV, a wardrobe, a fan, a fridge, a cook, a kettle, a blender, a set of cutlery 🍴, a set of plates, cups, a cupboard. Also a shower, a toilet, a set of towels, shampoo, shower gel, soup. And a balcony with two chairs and a table, and a place for drying your swimming costume. The location is marvellous. There are supermarkets, a bus station, restaurants, souvenir shops, a pharmacy nearby. Everything works till 11 pm. From the bus station you can get to Rethymno (exactly 20 minutes) or Heraclion. In one week my friend joined me. What we both really liked here was the long and beautiful beach (sandy, but stones when you come into the water). You can walk and walk and meet the sunset and the sunrise. The beach is not overcrowded. It was important for us. The place here is quite and full of natural sounds like birds, sheep and cocks. The breakfast here is really delicious. We ate watermelons, cottage cheese, cheese, bacon, eggs (very good), herbal tea (very healthy and gives energy) , coffee, cacao, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepper and homemade cakes and cretan pies. The bar in the hotel is with a beautiful view of the sea, delicious coffee and whatever you want to eat. The quality and the price is good. So you can stay in your hotel not leaving it for days because you can have everything you need. Or you can go shopping for local products with olive oil and aloe. Also you can buy olive oil in the hotel. The place is adorable and people here are adorable, too. Thank you for having me 💝

Location Location Location

We visited this hotel 3 yrs ago and the fact we went back shows it is doing something right. In this case the something right is the brilliant location right on a fabulous and fairly quiet beach. The slightly depressing thing is that the gaps before are still gaps now. The claimed WiFi is impossible to get in your room, unless your room is next to the reception area. Breakfast retains a Fawlty Towers feel complete with a Basil Fawlty figure guarding the area, if you treat it as a sit com it is worth going for the comedy. The breakfast area has a silver box that they claim is a toaster but there was little evidence to support that claim. We saw a couple of people try and put there bread in twice in the wild hope of making it go brown. In both cases they were firmly told off, we saw contraband Nutella being smuggled in and this managed to escape notice. The rooms are still very good but need a broom or brush otherwise by the end of the week half the beach has arrived in your room and you have no way to get rid of it. Overall good value fantastic location and if the worst thing is a lack of toast and slightly comedy staff that will not damage your holiday.
