Vi valde detta efter omdömen här på TripAdvisor men det visade sig att de som sa att detta var bra inte hade så höga krav. Vi var enda svenskarna på hotellet och övriga mestadels engelsmän och tyskar verkade trivas bra där de satt och rökte överallt. Mycket trevlig och bra personal, men i övrigt så är hotellet gammalt och slitet. Maten är långt under nivån för svensk skolmat. Någon skrev att det är välstädat men tvärtom så var golven i lägenheten så smutsiga att vi fick ha skor på oss inomhus.
Melvin, Melvin, Melvin!! He's the man that can make your holiday
Having just spent 2 weeks all-inclusive at SMY Tahona I can say that it delivers at the price we paid, cheap and basic, no frills.the first room we had was a bit grotty but we paid for an upgrade and got a better room, it was clean enough , very spacious and well situated, the food was OK at best there was always something to eat and the drinks and snacks were good throughout the day. Without doubt the highlight of the holiday was Melvin, he made an average boring holiday into a quite simply amazing holiday that none of us wanted to leave, I normally don't get involved in hotel activities day or night but whatever he was doing we were there, laughing along and having an amazing time, i cant thank him enough for making our stay the best holiday we have been on , he is so good I would go back to the hotel for another holiday ,
Great time at smy hotel
Went to stay here for our holiday in fuerteventura for 2 weeks all the staff where very kind and helpful unfortunately I didn't learn many of their names other than Melvin from the animation crew he was absolutely incredible really funny, made a huge effort with everyone and really made my holiday we had lots of fun doing activities with him, such as the archery and darts and stretching in the morning, he was such a positive guy and made an effort to learn your names and recognized us even outside of the hotel such an incredible guy very good taste in socks and an excellent pool player, so huge shout out to him hope to see him again sometime, from Mr connect 4, Miron. All of the other staff where great as well especially the bar staff, and the breakfast pancakes where lovely. Hope everyone enjoys your stay here !! Look out for Melvin he's the best ;)
Lovely stay; great animation; beautiful pool.
We had an amazing two weeks here. Melvin, the animation guru, was fantastic. There was a varied selection of continental style food offered for all three meals, with lots of sauces and some typical Spanish fare. The room was comfortable with two fans to keep the air moving (no air conditioning). We had a suite which meant more space to move around in. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The pool was lovely, the heated part was warm enough for late night dips and there were plenty of sunbeds. The bar and restaurant staff were happy and friendly. It was a bit of a trek to the beach, but once there, the experience was great. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk.
Worst experience of a hotel ever!
The problems started after we first saw our room after a long transfer day. Our hearts sunk, especially this being our wedding anniversary holiday. The room was dirty, broken rusty nail sticking up from the floor, rotten door frames, broken toilet, broken kettle with no tea/ coffee etc. Room security was terrible as our door showed signs of forced entry & didn't close securely. Dangerous broken light switches & broken live bedside light unit. Expectations regarding all inclusive.... No main spirits available, just cheap replacements & finished at 11pm. Food was bland with not many options. Entertainment was virtually non- existent unless you like karaoke etc Constant drainage construction going on with over flowing bins I realise this is only a 2/3 star hotel but come on, some care & attention should be shown. All booked through jet2, this so called hotel is to be well avoided.
