Colonial feel
The hotel staff was gracious enough to allow us for early check in with out extra charge. The place architecture is of colonial Portuguese style. The rooms are spacious, the approach to Baga beach is through the hotel property itself. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel manager is very kind and gives a ear about our stay. The place is very near to the iconic Tito lane, where the night clubs are situated. The hotel needs some face lift to have a premium look.
FANTASTIC STAFF/HOTEL/LOCATION
This was our 3rd visit to CSM hotel. The hotel location is great for both access to the beach which is on its doorstep and for travelling further afield to other areas. All the staff are fantastic and polite and cant do enough for their customers. The food is excellent and there is a good choice to suit all tastebuds. The hotel offer a number of restaurant discount vouchers to their customers for dining at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely balcony to sit and chill and enjoy the beautifully maintained gardens. The only not so good thing about the holiday was when it came to an end. We will definately be returning and cannot wait.
Good experience.
Good experience. The rooms are quite spacious. But room allotted to us was in one corner on backside with no view of any hotel part. We had booked MAPAI (Breakfast +Dinner). They had fixed menu for Dinner instead of Buffet. Both breakfast and dinner food was limited but nice. They have beach (Baga Beach) access on back side of the hotel. They have nice swimming pool for kids and adults too. Room service was good. Hotel has plenty of plants and greenery inside campus. Parking of vehicles is bit cozy and had to park on the internal single road inside hotel.
Good to be back!
This was our third visit to the CSM, but our first since lockdown, It was lovely to to be back in such a great position for the beach and the nightlife. We normally get a room in the block right by the main pool and restaurant, but this time we were nearer the beach in room 171. The room was fine, with plenty of storage space, and everything working, Some issues with the TV not getting all the channels, but nothing major. We liked having a balcony that was always in the shade, and had enough bushes and trees to screen us from passers by. Our room boys soon learnt to clean early in the day so we could have a siesta, and kept everything topped up and the towels changed etc. The reception and restaurant staff were as nice as ever, and looked after us well. Travelling with Tui, we had vouchers for three free meals a week in the restaurant. We always had curries at lunchtime, but sometimes asked for a change like prawns instead of chicken. A few head wobbles from the waiters, but no request was ever refused, and the curries were consistently good. We had eight out of our nine free meals, and no complaints. Breakfast was the usual egg chef, a few heated bowls of wedges, tomatoes, mushrooms and the like, plus Indian options. There could be a bit of a queue for the two toasters, but we always got there before the rush so it wasn't too bad. They could do with some different jams , and maybe some marmalade would be nice. The Nescafe sachets for the coffee were OK, but needed a pair of scissors to open sometimes. We started off using the main pool, and never struggled to get a sun bed. But we didn't like the ladders, which were slippy, and one was too wobbly, but when we went in our shower clean Crocs for safety, we were told off by the pool boys. So eventually we moved to the smaller pool, with a better ladder, more shade and less supervision! Both pools needed a good clean, and missing tiles and broken slats replacing, but nothing bad enough to put us off using them. The road to the hotel, known as CSM Lane, used to be full of restaurants and bars, but not many survived the two years without British trade, so it was a bit quiet, but we carried on into Baga one way or Calangute the other and found plenty of nightlife. So yes, as good as ever. We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back sometime ,
