Bij aankomst in dit hotel zoet alles er prachtig uit. Kamers zijn netjes, schoon en nieuw. Zwembad ziet er mooi en schoon uit. Ontbijt is prima en ook hier alles wederom schoon. Het personeel is adequaat en reageert snel. Wij hebben echter 2 nachten gedoe gehad met een kapotte airconditioning. Steeds weer hij "gemaakt" door de stroom eraf te halen en de unit opnieuw op te starten. Dit loste het probleem niet op, maar zorgde er enkel voor dat de airconditioning een uurtje werkte. Wij kregen uiteindelijk een andere kamer. Wij zagen echter de nieuwe gasten in deze kamer hetzelfde probleem ervaren. Dit kan echt niet zo makkelijk afgedaan wouden in een hotel van dit niveau. Onze nieuwe kamer rook echter naar riool. Hier ook weer binnen 5 minuten een tijdelijke oplossing (schoonmaakmiddel door het putje in het toilet gooien), maar geen langdurige oplossing. Een uur later stonk het alweer. Dit was een ontluchtingsprobleem. Uiteindelijk het putje zelf afgedekt met een stuk plastic. Het zwembad is prachtig, alleen veel te klein voor het aantal gasten. Als je niet voor 7.30u aan het zwembad ligt, zijn alle bedjes bezet. Er zijn slechts 15 bedjes voor 40 kamers. Als je langer dan 30min niet op je bedje ligt, haalt het personeel je spullen weg. Fijn, op deze manier blijven bedjes niet ongebruikt. Echter dwingt het hotel je op deze manier ook om bij hun te lunchen. Prijzen voor de lunch gerechten zijn tussen de €15 en €20 per gerecht. Echter wel een kleine kaart en alleen maar grote gerechten op de kaart. Kleinere snacks zijn niet te bestellen. De prijzen van de drankjes daarintegen zijn belachelijk. De meeste mensen halen hierdoor zelf drankjes in de supermarktjes in de buurt. Sommige leden van het personeel kwamen vertellen dat dat niet mocht. Belachelijk! Voor het hotel inclusief gebruik van het zwembad is al voldoende betaald. Met zulke prijzen is het niet klantvriendelijk op mensen te dwingen alles aan de bar te bestellen. Een lauw doodgeslagen tapbiertje uit een plastic bekertje was rond de €7. Cocktails en sterkte dranken tussen de €13 en €15. Gelukkig waren er ook personeelsleden die dit lieten gaan. Al met al een prima hotel, maar niet totaal ontspannen door de hoge prijzen en het gebrek aan ligbedjes. Strand is ongeveer 500m lopen. Kiezels, bedjes gratis als je op het strand luncht, zee bijna niet toegankelijk door de gladde rotsen in combinatie met de golven. Waterschoenen zijn onmisbaar.

Great hotel

Amazing hotel, great location close to the restaurants and bars along the beachfront. Very quiet at night too. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spotless as the cleaners do an amazing job each day. Breakfast is a typical buffet style but enough choice both hot and cold. Choice of drinks at the poolside bar was good too and the menu during the day looked great, although we didn't need to order anything. Staff are brilliant, such attention to detail and so helpful. My wife mislaid her prescription sunglasses in a taxi and Athina on reception took all the details, liaised with the taxi company who found the glasses and returned them to our hotel. What service all round! Special mentions to Athina & Dimitris (reception) Alice (bar) and Magda (bar) for their super service throughout. We will definitely come back, a really nice experience. I would recommend Kamari as a destination if you are visiting Santorini, a really nice place. Temperatures in May were around 22 average so really pleasant. A couple of days were windy but that's apparently standard for this time of year.

Lovely ladies trip

Lovely friendly clean hotel and accommodation. Great breakfast and staff ,rooms are spacious ,no lifts but help carrying suitcases as some rooms have a good few steps Only downside is people putting towels on sun beds and not using them for a few hours ,we did personally remove some that weren’t being allocated as it seemed only fair ,the only other downside was not enough storage drawers in the rooms Close to the bars ,restaurants etc 4 ladies travelling together all enjoyed the hotel and resort we all said we would return ,

Wonderful week at Strogili!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful week staying at Hotel Strogili! Firstly, it’s close to the airport so the transfer is short and straightforward! The hotel is in a great location in Kamari - within a few minutes of the beachfront and the centre. The staff at Strogili were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff were great at recommending activities to do, and the breakfast/bar staff were efficient and friendly! The hotel is immaculately clean, including our lovely room and the pool area. There were always pool beds free (in contrast to some other reviews) so visiting in off peak season is a good idea if this is important to you. Most restaurants and shops are still open and the temperature was perfect so visiting in October is highly recommended from us. Thank you Hotel Strogili for a lovely stay!

The hotel is immaculate . The room was spotless every day ( thank you cleaning lady from room 208 and the staff is very friendly and very polite and very welcoming and always goes extra mile to help you when you need it . I must definitely recommend it . Thank you for the marvellous stay 💙
