First class staff , food , location and accommodation. This is a hotel that we will come back to again and again , the Bali theme is very authentic throughout and the river concept is very unique and relaxing . I would highly recommend this hotel and it’s location is 5 mins away from the beach .
Prepare to feel transported...
I travel the world and often stay at 5* hotels - this hotel is deserving of 10 stars. And by no means am I exaggerating. The attention to detail is immaculate in each and every aspect. During our stay, we felt transported to somewhere undefined in this world - a paradise of sorts. From the moment we arrived, I was blown away by the beauty. Whoever designed and decorated this property is a true aesthetic genius. Every wall, corner, space was full to the brim with exceptionally beautiful quality decoration and design. I would often look at the space space several times and notice something new and enthralling. We stayed in a river villa and it felt like akin to the luxury and comfort of a presidential suite. The food was amazing, as was the service. We were spoilt for choice and the staff couldn't do enough to ensure we were satisfied. We had dinner through room service one night and felt like our living area was transformed into a restaurant. Then there is the service - second to none! Each member of staff was friendly and elegant in their approach. We felt valued throughout. A shout out to Marina who filled the place with warmth and care. To Lydia who looked like a movie star, moved like a movie start and treated us like we were movie stars. And to every other member of staff from reception to the cleaning staff. Nothing was ever too much. The bed in our room was super comfortable, and our pool was just delightful. The infinity pool at the top of the hotel was exceptional, but best of all was the main pool which felt like it was in a tropical paradise. I really could go on forever. We have already rebooked for July, just a few months after our first stay and we weren't planning on returning to Tenerife had it not been for the hotel - the hotel has ensured we are returning and simply to stay again. We have even asked for our same villa because it. WAS, SIMPLY. PERFECT. Thank you Royal River Samar Saleh
This is our 4th stay at Royal River since we discovered the hotel last November. Obviously to keep returning we think it is extra special, and we are booked in again for October and Christmas. The hotel is simply beautiful and perfectly suits all our expectations. The suites are stunning, the pool areas outstanding and the restaurants and the food is perfect. The Management led by Lydia & Daniella is impeccable and their ethos filters down to every member of staff. Concierge, Reception, Restaurant staff & housekeeping are all excellent. Five stars to all of them. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and the pillows, well it’s just like sleeping on the most light cloud. Beautiful. It was my birthday while we were here this time and the birthday treat from the hotel was lovely. Really made my day. We have stayed in fabulous hotels all over the World and Royal River is up at the top of the list of our favourites for luxury and attention to detail. Thank you everyone at Royal River. I literally don't know where to start..this place is incredible. It's the perfect blend of a private villa with all the hotel amenities. After being blown away by the visual aesthetics, you are then comforted with amazing food, glorious wine, and at bedtime the best mattress you will ever sleep on. Like ever! I can't fault this hotel. I'd like to make special mentions to Alex, the lovely man on reception whose name I never caught, and Marina in the Spa. You will return home floating.
Beautiful hotel - but slight room for improvement to make it AMAZING
Its certainly a unique and beautiful hotel. The interior design is second to none and every room and area of the hotel is beautifully appointed. Beds were super comfortable, rooms large and luxurious, it has to get 5 starts, however there is always room for improvements. Although the interior of the hotel was second to none in terms of attention detail I found some areas lacking. Tea bags and milk not replenished in the room - which at 7am when you want a cup of tea and all there is- is green tea or tea with no milk - is annoying and shows lack of detail. In other high class hotels we stay at the maitre d' - gets to know what you want to drink, its been noted on day one ....and shows a certain standard of service. Its a great sign of a guest service when you sit down at breakfast and they know the coffee you want or the particular juice you drink.Simple attention to detail. Also noted - when finishing our fruit at breakfast the plates and cutlery would be removed, but no new cutlery was replaced, so we would return with eggs and bacon and not have cutlery- this is BASIC service- and the two ladies who orchestrate breakfast should be more on the case, observing the guests needs and always being one step ahead. I have an absolute HATE for pre cooked eggs and just dont understand why a hotel of this calibre has sweaty scrambled eggs festering in a chaffing dish - there is simply NO excuse - it was explained to me that if all the guests wanted scrambled eggs all at the same time - they would not be able to keep up with it ... well unless "The Scambled egg Appreciation Society" were in town , which would be highly unlikely - not only is it a waste of food , its also simply not very nice. And that fact the food is replenished every 20 mins , as I was told, is even worse. Cook to order and avoid waste. I dont understand why there is no menu for cooked items - which you can have .... Eggs Benedict etc " all you have to do is ask " said the MD - but if you dont know that they are on offer what would you ask ? We only found our about Eggs benny as we heard our neighbouring table order it. A token gesture of fruit or a little sweet bite is always a nice touch in the room. Towels - not very fluffy or luxurious All of the above are first world problems - I know - but after staying in many beautiful hotels its a comparison I am sharing to make this lovely hotel even better.
