A Excellent Hotel in Every Way!
We have stayed at many all inclusive hotels in different countries almost every year and have come across some very good ones, the LABRANDA Costa Morgan has made it in our top two. All the staff in all departments made us feel that they were so pleased that we had visited their hotel and they all could help us when we asked about anything. Such a clean place, the buffet restaurant selection of food was incredible, so many choices in all meals we had , the all inclusive package was great and well thought out, our accommodation was cleaned everyday by such happy ladies, the bars were well stocked with everything and always served by very lovely bar staff, evening entertainment was lovely, l could go on , my wife and myself had a lovely week and would definitely return and recommend a visit to you.
Honest review
Okay so, the hotel is hit and miss in a few areas. The rooms are really nice, big and spacious, comfortable beds, balcony spot on, and always kept clean and tidy. Definitely get a sea view balcony, view is really nice and is a lot better than looking at a street. Pool area is okay, nothing special, but does the job. DO NOT pay for the ‘private pool area’ this is €30pp and is literally next to the normal pool area, pool looks fancy but is about 30cm deep, such a rip off unless you want a fancy instagram picture. Location, isn’t bad, spar just up the road along with a chemist, couple of restaurants and a bus stop. Amadores beach is a 15 minute walk away, highly recommend, beach is beautiful and water lovely and clear. Entertainment, they had fun games/question of the day in the morning/afternoon which was really fun, and the winner gets a bottle of cava, and the girl (sorry I forgot her name) was super friendly and really made it enjoyable and looked like she enjoyed her job. I will say though they were predominantly French and they had a massive biased towards other French guests, half the time wouldn’t engage in a conversation with us but would be sitting down chatting for hours to French guests! Food & Drink, the big one, so, food honestly isn’t that great, there have a been a couple of times where there has been something out which is nice, but not very often, only thing which is consistently nice is the pizza which is freshly made in house, but if you catch it at the wrong time can be cold. Breakfast is okay, nothing special and half the time it is cold/Luke warm, however, variety is pretty good. Lunch has offered the best so far, but the options are really limited, drops the odd pearl. Dinner’s have let us down, rarely been much we enjoyed, again options really limited, often ended up getting slices of pizza and luke warm chips. Drinks/cocktails, now this is a big one for a lot of people understandably, and honestly, really big let down, the house spirits are weak and the cocktails are the sweetest things I’ve ever drank, and usually when people write reviews and say ‘oh the drinks were sweet’ I think shut up you’re probably some 50 year old and an apple tastes sweet to you, but honestly, these drinks are that sweet you don’t want to finish them, so we were really let down by this, the soft drinks are obviously okay but you get that anywhere. So all in all, would we return, probably not unless we found some unbelievable deal as it does the trick for a quick week getaway, but it was still a nice week away from the desk at work.
The entertainment group ruined our experience.
The place itself was alright, but if you’re black, I would not recommend. The locals are lovely, however it is a predominantly French hotel, which French entertainers. We had an awful experience with French tourists staring and laughing at us (four black girls), and what made it worst was one of the French animators, Enzo, publicly humiliated us saying that we were dirty, and too pound and that people did not like us. Which was far from the truth. We met AMAZING people, who we laughed and drank with. All the local staff absolutely loved us, and would great us, especially Hassan, the cook, and Lucia, one of the waitresses. Enzo really ruined the holiday for us, we never received an apology from them. They actually started talking about us to other tourists in French, which made us feel uncomfortable. I’d never go back there again. The place smells like sewage and there are a lot of ants in the property.
Lovely hotel with a 'but'
We stayed for 7 nights in a Junior Suite with Sea View and are already missing it. The Hotel is modern and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful it gives off a very welcoming and fresh vibe. The food/drink variety was definitely enough so we could eat something different everyday. Now to the BUT: Apparently the hotel hosts as French holiday agency so all the entertainment was in French and apart from an hour during pool time which included zumba and a ball pool game it was not really possible to enjoy or join any evening events as both of the all day entertainer were French and focused mostly on the French speaking people. So if you don't mind missing out on entertainment it is a fantastic hotel in a secluded area to relax and escape the daily life.
Lovely hotel - quiet and peaceful
Beautiful modern hotel in a quiet area. Rooms immaculate and cleaned daily. Food very good although could be a bit warmer at times. Pool lovely and fully recommend a day in the Riviera Beach club - 30€ gets you your own Bali bed, some fizz and a fruit platter. The Bali beds are arranged around the pool so you can dip your feet in and cool off without moving! The hotel had some rowdy young adults while we were there who kept us awake for a few Nights while they were making their own entertainment- when we complained - it was apparent a number of other guests had complained and the hotel out some fizz and fizzy water in our room as an apology which was a nice touch. We rented a car for the week as we like to explore - we loved Puerto Mogán and went there a few times. Also saw Maspalomas Dunes and went to Puerto Rico on the ferry from a Puerto Mogán - gives you a fab view of the coast so give it a try. If you want a party hotel and nightclubbing then this is not the hotel for you. If you want peace and relaxation go for it you won’t be disappointed
