Well where does one start? I’ve stayed in a number of Five star hotels over the years and I can’t quite understand how this hotel is graded as being four stars. It was every bit as pleasant as other hotels in this class. The room we had was a sea view junior suite and we were XTRA guests which meant complimentary mini-bar and a few other little extras such as toiletries and cycle hire. The room itself was modern, luxurious and very clean. The food was good at breakfast and evening times. I have seen other guests reviews complaining food is warm and sometimes over cooked. I’m not sure how the chefs can cook for three hours at a time, providing variety and still be able to cater to individual needs. Meals ordered through the shack at lunch times were exceptional. We ate hamburgers and beef wraps, both of which were generous in size and perfectly cooked and presented. These additional meals were also reasonably priced. The Ginger bar is very well furnished and set out with lots of comfortable, clean and modern items. Alcohol is again reasonably priced and happy hour is 2 for 1. A glass of wine and a pint of lager are priced at less than €4 each. The pool is very pleasant and staff keep it meticously clean. Whilst we were there it didn’t seem to open until 10am as the area and the beds were cleaned first. The WIFI was faultless on our visit and was fast enough to download video etc if you wished to. I dislike going abroad and having an almost dial up speed unless willing to pay more. The hotel seems to cater for mainly Europeans with mainly German, Dutch, French and British guests. The atmosphere seemed very relaxed and I didn’t see anyone rushing to reserve loungers or rushing to eat in the restaurant. Staff were all very helpful and I was particularly impressed with some of the cleaning staff who never seemed to stop. The hotel itself seemed responsible in respect of the environment as they provided edible straws and reusable plastic glasses. The only recommendation I would make is that the cycles for hire are probably overdue a service. I took one on a five mile cycle and the bottom bracket seized halfway through. I ended up pushing the bike back but arguably needed the exercise! Maybe invest in some MTB’s which would suit the local terrain better. I would definitely return and certainly recommend this hotel.
Very good hotel in great location
Great place for relaxing or windsurfing, good food, nice staff, great location on best beach in Fuerteventura. Can get a bit busy/hot round new pool but have option of Melia next door which is bigger and has more shade.
We’ve just spent 7 nights at the Sol Beach House . It’s a lovely hotel, beautifully decorated in a very contemporary restful style. We had an xtra room which comes with extras included ie replenished bar, beach towels, yoga mats etc. The room was large and airy with nice touches like the Desigual throws cushions etc. Albeit I had to laugh at the provision of the Desigual bathrobes a tad on the small size. I’m a size 12 and they just fitted me. No use for my poor husband I’m afraid. The staff are lovely ,they work really hard and very long hours but always smile and happy to help. A lovely experience we had was I celebrated my birthday whilst staying there. I never meantioned it but their attentiveness clearly picked up the date from my passport and on the night of my birthday they delivered a beautiful tray of drinks and cakes to our room. Thankyou this was so thoughtful. The balconies are good, beautiful views and with a nice touch providing a large double sun bed and deck chair. The pool area is excellent with good quality sun beds ,cushions and umbrellas. A pleasant change was no one sneaking down at ridiculous hours to reserve them either and getting a bed at whatever time was never an issue. The pool is beautiful if a little on the chilly side. The cleaning of the hotel and pool areas is meticulous every day. The beach is amazing with beautiful clean golden empty expanses of sand. The sea was warm enough to swim in and crystal clear. The food is generally very good, lots of it,a really good selection of dishes and choices both breakfast and in the evenings. Unfortunately the food is let down by a lot of the dishes being served lukewarm or even left to go cold. This doesn’t seem to be an issue when ordering from a la carte menu at lunch when the food was always served hot. Also if they spared one member of staff at breakfast to provide an egg station cooking eggs/omelettes on request I think they would have a lot less waste. At the moment the fried eggs scrambled eggs and omelettes are pre prepared and frankly awful. The ginger bar is beautiful it’s a calm oasis with loads of comfortable seating. Cocktails are good ,happy hour great and the staff are lovely. The music is sort of hotel lobby meets elevator fortunately in the background. There was no live entertainment whilst we were there. This didn’t bother us at all as we’d gone for a relaxing time. This possibly would be an issue if nighttime entertainment is part of your holiday enjoyment as this hotel is isolated and a good taxi ride to the nearby Costa Calma. The yoga and Pilates classes are very good. Annika the Yoga teacher was amazing. She could speak most languages and took the time to instruct the classes we went to in English Spanish German and Italian. She was very knowledgeable helpful and friendly. She took the time to go around the class helping you to adjust your positions. She also tried to cover all from beginners to the more experienced Yogi s. Disappointingly for a hotel that advertises this facility it is a shame that the classes are taken in the Terraze Bar area ie part of the restaurant on the concrete floor. With the restaurant staff walking round setting tables ready for lunch. ! I do think they could find a more suitable area to hold the classes especially as they are so good you want to take part in them. Would I recommend this hotel yes most definitely if you want to just rest and reset yourself it’s brilliant. Would I go again, yes, if they could sort the cold food niggles. Would I go every year for a break in a heartbeat if they sorted the food and provided more yoga and Pilates in an area fit for purpose.
Relaxation between the sea and dune
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, and it was just delightful! We love the atmosphere and design of the hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I was really in love with our room. We were so lucky to have a room in the beachfront building(No. 4), so the sea view from our balcony is just amazing! The dinner buffet for half board was better than expected. Normally we avoid to book half board, but this time we had a good experience. The only minus point is that our minibar wasn't refilled everyday, but we actually paid for it because we had a XTRA room. We told the receptionist about this issue while checking out. She was very professional and apologized to us immediately. Overall, we are still satisfied with Sol Beach House Fuerteventura.
Amazing stay in Sol Beach house hotel
We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Sol Beach house hotel! Already after our first day there we decided that we will return. We had a Junior Suit with private garden and ocean view and I it was perfect. The room was amazing, hotel staff were very helpful and thoughtful, they did go the extra mile. I was very pleasantly surprised that the hotel new about our late arrival (around midnight) and without asking or prompting anything they had prepared a simple but very much wanted dinner/snack dish for us. We didn't ask for anything nor expected, but it was there it was very pleasant surprise. We absolutely loved our room and the view from the room. We are definitely going back to this hotel. One thing they could do though, is they could mention on their website that it is recommended to book kite-surfing lessons in advance, it was fully booked on the spot.
