Snyggt men slarvigt!
What a great find, having booked last minute we couldn't have asked for more. The rooms/communal areas and grounds were spotlessly clean, with all staff adhering to COVID by wearing masks etc., hand sanitisers were everywhere and sun beds disinfected as you left, and communal furniture sprayed daily. The staff, in particular Michael Angelo (Fred as we called him) behind the bar, Hannah on Reception and both Andy and Johanna were amazing they couldn't have been more friendly or helpful to us - Fred you make the best cocktails and your charm and character are a real asset to the hotel. We had an evening meal at the hotel a couple of evenings which was plentiful, if you wanted to order the whole menu, you got it and all for 20 Euros a head. If was well presented, flavoursome and hot, would recommend giving it a go. The rooms were beautifully designed with all your needs accounted for. We asked for Milkshakes to be told they didn't do them, 2 days later they were also available. As I say they do everything they can to make your stay a pleasure and it was. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning. If there was one suggestion I would make, that would be to look at getting a courtesy bus to run to and from the town/beach a couple of times a day as the walk is around 15 mins and during the heat of the day can be a bit too much. Apart from that don't change anything, it's perfect as it is and with only 40 rooms never overcrowded.
We have just returned from a last minute week’s stay here. We highly recommend this hotel in every way. Beautiful design, spotlessly clean and wonderful staff who went out of their way to help with any request made. COVID rules were observed with regular cleaning of sunbeds and staff serving buffet breakfast so no handling of utensils. Sanitizers at every entrance and social distancing observed. Masks were worn by staff at all times even in the extreme heat. They are doing a wonderful job dealing with the situation yet still keeping cheerful. We would like to congratulate the Hotel management from the Receptionists, the bar and restaurant staff and the housekeeping for everything that they are doing to protect themselves and guests whilst creating a relaxing, safe and luxurious atmosphere that we desperately needed after working through lockdown. We will see you again soon hopefully during less challenging times thank you ❤️🙏🏻
A Top Class Hotel - Book or miss out
Diamond boutique lives up to its name. What a gem of a place, it’s a boutique style hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the great team of staff that work here. From the reception to the waiting staff, the room attendance and the management. The food here is absolutely top quality. The breakfast which has something for everyone is fantastic. Fresh and tasty fruits, yogurts, eggs and croissants as well as the fully stocked cooked items. The evening meals are outstanding. The food is delicious and the staff service is excellent where people work as a team to ensure every bit of your stay is excellent. I have high standards enjoying 5 star cruise ships, hotels and restaurants and this hotel does not disappoint. This hotel has got everything right. The atmosphere is just perfect and you cannot fail to relax and be refreshed here whilst simply enjoy the beautiful mountain views and surroundings. As the title says a top class hotel *****
Definite first choice for Kos Town
Just back from a gorgeous week in the Diamond. First caveat though- do your research. Its a very adult hotel located in a slightly scruffy but very quiet suburb of Kos Town about 15 mins walk to the beach or the Old Harbour area. Its deffo a place to lock yourself away and recline into the luxury Its a very high end designed oasis- think polished concrete minimalism. All cream and grey geometric angles in the design but set off with lush banana trees and date Palms. In fact its style and atmosphere are more redolent of Miami or Palm Springs than Greece. We had a suite in block one and although the rooms don't have great views they are large and modern. The hotel was full but never felt busy and there are plenty of lush day beds. The pool area was gorgeous- we didn't bother with the rather gritty town beach and stayed pool side Staff were so attentive and friendly- breakfast buffet was done really well within the Covid restrictions with plenty of staff and a beautifully curated display of food - plus a fresh egg station. We had lunch a few times which was reasonable with a extensive wine list. A couple more veggie options would have been welcome The hotel felt uncluttered and aspirational but not stuffy. We skipped the set evening meal although it looked nice and explored the huge range of choices in Kos Town- personally I didnt like the Lambi Beach area so we went to the old town every night for great bars and restaurants- didn't have a bad meal although a shout out to Broadway and the Fish Place as our faves. Highlight was the Volcano trip to neigbouring Nissyros although this is a full day so quite tiring- I'd avoid if its really hot as there's little shade. Zia Village is really cute too
