Pleasant Stay at yellow themed BloomSuites, Recommeded!
It was an overall good stay at BloomSuites. We were greeted by staff on our arrival to the hotel and since we had our advance booking, it did not take much time for us to get the room allotted. They have good lounge area neat the reception area where I can sit, relax, enjoy welcome drink and read books. Location: Location of the hotel is quite good where it provides decent connectivity to Calangute, Baga and Candolim beaches. There are small eateries with good food options within the walk-able distance. Room and Service: Room was of decent size for 2 adults, wash area was clean. However we had few issues with gate lock of our room and hotel maintenance staff was prompt to address that (workaround). Room service and cleaning was done promptly by the staff on regular intervals. Hotel Amenities: Hotel has decent size swimming pool with clean water and an in house dinning area which seems to be good but we did not avail their services. There is a good arrangement for music as well during evening and night. There is decent place to park your owned or rented vehicles within hotel compound area. Hotel is guarded by the security 24x7. Overall checkout process remain smooth and I did not find any issues with billing. Also, on request they hired us a cab to the airport at competitive prices. It was a pleasant stay at BloomSuites and I would recommend BloomSuites to others for their Goa plans.
Clean and super-friendly
Even though Bloomsuites is very close to the main road in Calangute, the hotel area is peaceful and quiet. The hotel area is also well maintained and clean, and there are security guards at both the front and back entrances and at the pool area. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a superior twin room as requested. As the hotel has been recently renovated, the room was in good condition. The beds were comfortable, not too hard, and there was a free safety box in the room. The aircon worked, but it was really noisy. Also we could not adjust the fan speed - it was on top speed never mind which speed setting we chose. Bathroom had enough space to lay your toiletries, there was a spacious shower cabin and the shower worked fine. I was especially pleased to find that the hotel provided free soap and shampoo in large pump bottles, so no need to bring your own. Slippers were also provided free of charge and they are needed, because the dusty red earth (plus cow manure..) does travel into the room in your shoes. I don't know whether the floors were cleaned daily or not, but they were dirty. Maybe that is something you cannot avoid in India. The towels were changed daily. I know it is not very environmentally friendly, but it was needed. The reason again is the red dust which clings into you wherever you go. The only negative thing besides the noisy aircon would be the breakfast buffet. It was included in the room price, but provided only a few choices for western taste. If you want to eat Indian warm dishes in the morning, then you are in the right place. We ate toast with butter (there was no cheese or cold cuts) and an omelet every morning. There was no yoghurt either. But that was really no major issue and did not affect our overall opinion of the hotel. There are a couple of minimarkets nearby, where you can buy your drinking water. There is a bigger supermarket on the road to Candolim, a short walking distance from the hotel. The shortest way to the beach is from the back entrance of the hotel, turn left and then right. Keep walking until you see signs pointing towards the beach or ask for directions from the locals. If you ask the way to the beach from the hotel, they direct you to Calangute beach, which is quite far and only for locals and Indian tourists. If you are a pale European, you will end up in endless selfies with Indian holidaymakers if you venture there :). It is an interesting place to see, though. All in all a great stay.
Fab holiday spotlessly clean hotel, Recommended to others
Where to start???, I arrived in the small hours tired and dishevelled, but I was given a warm welcome with a speedy straightforward check in. The hotel is immaculately clean and it is a surprisingly modern hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the contemporary styling of my room. The room had water, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen tv with sky programs ( not that I ever even switched it on) my room had WiFi, a bit slow at times but hey free WiFi!!!. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The air con was efficient if a little loud but a few g&ts and you didn’t notice. There was a complimentary digital safe. The bed was huge and very comfortable with whiter than white super smooth high quality linen, a definite luxury in India. In the room only 2 minor niggles, balcony was small but didn’t use it despite having a pool view. Lighting was quite subtle which meant that applying make up was 😝. The pool area was immaculately clean with the floors being scrubbed daily, beds were plentiful and very comfortable. Hotel staffing levels were good and there was always someone around to attend to your needs. Speaking of staff, the whole team were amazing with their polite inquiries, eager to please service and their unfailingly smiling faces. I miss them all already. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The breakfast at first seemed a little limited until you realise you can order fresh items beside what is being served at the buffet. At breakfast there is not enough outdoor seating, but this may be a good thing because it’s easy to share tables and mingle with other guests. The hotel is at the minute very cosmopolitan in an easy way, all the nationalities find it easy to mix. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. I would like to point out that the hotel does not seem to offer courtesy rooms as standard, This needs rectifying immediately as check out is 11am and most pick up are around 9pm flying at 02.15. That is 15 hours without a room to rest in or freshen up. I was eventually offered a courtesy room but it had only one towel and nothing else. A bit shocking for a hotel that is surpassing Indian standards in all other ways. Location,..... the hotel is situated down a side alley off the main Calangute to Candolim street, Uncles bar is directly across the road st Anthony’s church to your right, Calangute roundabout to your left. This means it is convenient for all the bars, taxis etc but has a peaceful tucked away serenity, breakfast is served to the sound of quiet relaxing music, the pool plays a selection of music according to whom is using it at the time. On the entrance alley there is a general store at the bottom, Macs Tailors, and Gems Palace Jewellers. I did buy from the jeweller and also happy to recommend the quality of his work.
Terrible service&very slow. Try to charge you for other peoples bills.Harassing phone calls to your room.constant badgering around the pool side.my friends payed there bills night before check out.on time of there checked out, tryed to make them pay again, saying it was not logged.me&my partner was with friends when they paid there bill. Treated absolutley discusting. Please stay else where.
access to nearby beach is very good & well caring staff & prompt services on 1 call but breakfast should be little more variety should be placed. Overall stay was good & nearby veg & non veg restaurant is close to the property
