I stayed at shams Prestige for 2 weeks in May had the most relaxing time. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable with hairdryer, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar, and if you upgrade to a superior room you also have a jacuzzi on the terrace and an amazing sea view. The staff are all very attentive and seem very customer focused nothing was too much trouble. No children and no entertainment team so you ensured a very relaxing time. The restaurant provided a good standard of food either from the buffet or a la carte. Words cannot really describe how wonderful this hotel is. And thank you Mahmoud (at reception) for all your help you are amazing as well. So a big thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful holiday
A stress free week!
I've just returned from a week at the Shams Prestige. It's a small, adult-only, low -rise development with friendly staff and great service. The rooms are of a "bungalow" style in separate plots with lots of space inside and a terrace. The standard of service and quality of food during my stay was very high. The reception staff, especially Hazem, were always attentive to guest's needs. This is a small hotel - around 60 rooms, with a centre based around the pool and shaded dining terrace (outside) and restaurant/bar inside. It's a quiet hotel so you need to make your own entertainment in the evening. I chose the hotel because if the good reviews and because of the adjacent kitestation, although I ended up using Tornado Surf's (excellent) kite boat service to Soma Bay and didn't kite off the local beach. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want a quality stay in a relaxed and child-free environment.
Completely disgusting place we were group of 60 people we got terrible food poisoning the hotel didn't bother to provide any support to us and we have too many kids transferred to hospital the management try to deny this and one of the staff his name Ali Siam was happy for that because he is the chief of the hotel totally not recommended
Beautiful and relaxing getaway.
I stayed at Shams Prestige from the 1st to the 8th of April and it was a lovely place...a slice of paradise! If you are booking this hotel you need to know what you're signing up for. I did and I wasn't disappointed. It's a very small hotel, with personal service. There's no entertainment, just peace and quiet. I emailed the hotel beforehand to sort out transfers which were fantastic. My days were spent relaxing by the pool which was tranquil or on the beach. Wifi is available free of charge in the hotel reception but is a little hit and miss. Rooms are lovely, it has quite a village feel about the complex as you have your own front door to your room. It's well worth paying for an upgrade to a superior room as you have a jacuzzi on the terrace. I was the only English guest there for most of my stay but don't let that deter you, the staff speak English and Mahmood on reception is exceptional, a really lovely man, excellent English and an asset to the hotel. Drinks were great, better than I've had in some Egyptian hotels and the food was varied. There's no a la carte restaurants however every night was a different theme. The seafood night was amazing! Staff can't do enough to help you enjoy your stay and they were fantastic, especially the bar and restaurant staff including the executive chef who made me boiled eggs every morning for breakfast! Fabulous service above and beyond. I went to the spa in the Imperial hotel next door which was one of the best spa experiences I've had in Egypt. Once I'd haggled the price down it was reasonable and well worth it. I booked through Love Holidays, again I'd recommend them. This hotel is a little hidden gem and they would love more English guests...it's a shame more people don't visit! I had a truly relaxing time. Thank you to Mahmood and all the staff who looked after me so very well. Miss Rachel
