Smekmånad

Helt magiskt ställe! Utsikten, personalen, maten, frukosten allt är suveränt! Vi kommer definitivt försöka åka tillbaka till detta underbara hotell! Tack för att ni gjort vår smekmånad över förväntan!

Mycket fint

Väldigt fint nytt hotel! Bra service och trevlig personal! Kändes lyxigt och modernt! Vi hade gemensam pool från rummet vilket kan rekommenderas! Härligt högt läge gjorde inget att det var ca 900 m till stranden!

Lovely hotel but not 5 star

The hotel itself is beautiful on the surface. The staff are amazing. Kind and attentive. The good points: *Beautiful rooms cleaned to an extremely high standard *the sea is warm and clear and easily reached from the hotel *beach bar was amazing for drinks and lunch *wait service to the pool was fantastic.. the entire restaurant/wait staff couldn’t do enough for you and always with a smile The bad bits * food was always over cooked and few options despite the “chef’s selection” it was always the same thing. Todays main is tomorrow’s salad. * gluten free was seriously mislabelled * pool was slimy and had a thick layer of something green growing. All rafts and swim suits green on second day * beach towels - the worst I have ever seen. Thread bare, ragged and discoloured with yellow/green. Not fit for anything but the bin. * evening entertainment was poor at best. Loud - so loud you couldn’t speak to the person next to you. * staff getting meals with guest at peak meal times. Usually not a problem but in a busy hotel when the GM is pushing his way through makes for an awkward situation. * staff tries to clear your plate away WHILE you’re still eating. Makes you feel rushed and one person is sat eating whilst the other is just sitting there. * spa over priced and not worth attending. You will not get what you expect from services offered. This is a lovely hotel. If you are expecting 5 star you will be seriously disappointed. It’s missing the 5 star touch. We witnessed two falls.. one leading to a broken hip and hospital stay. Another fell on dance floor smashing her head on the concrete. Both times staff tried to move the injured guest. Some training would be useful. I think the worst part was the gala where the GM for tui - Tony actually insulted each employee. One for being bald, called another a stalker, forgot one lady’s name entirely .. called one his “Greek wife” and said one was so short that she didn’t have feet. I really felt for them. To belittle and insult staff in front of a resort full of guest is extremely bad management. He then went on to say “if you can’t leave a 10 star rating don’t fill out the feed back - we don’t want your negativity” this made me and several other guests rather uncomfortable. You can clearly see bullying is his management style. Very counterproductive. Sorry Tony .. the resort you manage isn’t the 5 star you claim it to be. Maybe take some tips from the Atlantica imperial spa in Rhodes. With some improvements this resort has the capability of reaching 5 star quality but it’s just not there now. All in all it’s a nice resort. I would say if you’re expecting a 3.5-4 star you won’t be disappointed but if you are looking for the 5 star service you’ll be short changed.

Perfect hotel

Incredible one of the best luxury hotels I’ve been, ( honeymoon sweet our room ) Everything 10/10 room services staff are very friendly and helpful food amazing! highly recommend it for anyone especially couple definitely we will Come back to stay here again and again Thank you all we have a wonderful time

Excellent in some ways, a letdown in others

Zante Maris Suites is a very beautiful and elegantly landscaped boutique hotel located on top of a hill. The hotel offers beautiful views over the island, especially from the restaurant and the suite terraces. Due to its location, the hotel area is very quiet, there is only a hint of passing traffic and the soundproofing in the rooms is also very good. The downside of the location is that there is a very steep hill to climb to reach the hotel from the town of Tsilivi, and on a hot, sunny day it can be exhausting. Just getting to the hotel grounds isn't enough, as the climb continues within if you are staying in a pool suite. There is limited shade as you climb up, and the materials in the courtyard soak the heat. The staff can offer you a lift in a golf cart, but it is difficult to take advantage of that when arriving from the town if the cart and driver don't happen to be waiting. The hotel's public areas are tastefully done, and the hotel is a comfortable size, not too big. The pool bar is very good and the shared swimming pool with its seating area and sun loungers is stylish and atmospheric. Given the impressive setting, it was a bit surprising that the reception experience was a little underwhelming for a 5-star hotel. Baggage was well handled, but at check-in there was a lengthy form to fill out with no assistance, and no welcome drink was provided. While waiting for our suite to be available we were offered the opportunity to change into our bathing suits, but the shared changing rooms in the hotel basement were extremely cramped and essentially unfurnished. The pool suites’ terrace and pool areas are elegant and minimalistic, but also slippery and dangerous. We weren’t sufficiently warned about this at check-in, and there’s no signage or warnings anywhere. In our case, this led to a rather nasty injury at the pool. At least we must credit the hotel staff for how they arranged both emergency care and a doctor’s appointment at the hotel. The design of our room was pleasant but somewhat impractical. There were few power outlets, the air conditioning control unit was cryptic, and the light switches worked illogically. The room was in a bit of a state of disrepair: the room phone had to be replaced because it kept making a clicking noise all through the night, there was a hole in the shower room wall, and the hairdryer was partly broken. The bed was excellent and the cleaning was done efficiently. Towel changes were perhaps even over-aggressive. Probably the biggest problem with comfort is the smell of sewage rising from the drains due to the poor plumbing in the hotel. We had to complain about this several times, and at first the staff feigned ignorance, but promised to resolve the matter. However, the problem did not disappear completely, although enhanced cleaning of the drains helped to reduce the smell. The staff is friendly but perhaps a little inexperienced, and their language skills vary. This is reflected, for example, in the fact that there is little explanation of the content and characteristics of the dishes or wines served at the hotel restaurant. The hotel had a reasonably good evening program once the summer season had properly started. The food at the restaurant is good, but tries a bit too hard to be creative and surprising – which can be frustrating when what you really want is a classic dish. The portion sizes vary a great deal, which is also annoying. The breakfast is quite good and varied – and, above all, more predictable than dinner. Early breakfast was provided for us on the day of our departure upon request and was more than adequate.
