Relaxed holiday away
We arrived late in the evening and the staff were very helpful getting us to our room. We had a terrace room with a jacuzzi and it was lovely to have a nice view when we were getting ready. The jacuzzi was hard to use although that could have been us being silly, but there were no instructions of how to use it properly. It was about a 15 minute walk from the beach which was more than expected but not bad at all. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced at each of the bar and restaurant, even though we had checked out we were still allowed to have a meal on out last night which was helpful. The taxis they supply are quite expensive but are safe, make sure you have cash on you though. The pool area was lovely and there is nighttime entertainment each night with different singers coming in. Would highly recommend if you just want a chilled time, we didn’t enjoy Rhodes itself too much and wouldn’t come back but Cooks Club was lovely.
A small hotel for a chilled holiday
I was a little apprehensive as, after booking, I'd read a few reviews that were unfavourable towards the hotel and the staff, but I really had nothing to worry about. The staff were all really friendly, from those at the front desk, to the waiting staff around the restaurant and pool, to the cleaners. We were made to feel right at ease from our very first day and had a good few laughs. The hotel is beautiful; small, comfortable, modern and clean. It is set back off a main road but you'd never know it was there - we didn't visit the small town where the hotel was located, but did grab a bus from the road that took us into the Old Town. The pool area was always tidy and the pool itself was heated, though could still be chilly in the early morning - understandable. The area around the pool looks quite small from the photographs but there's plenty of room for everyone to hang out. There is music played throughout the day and it was usually always low-fi and at a level that wasn't too 'in your face' and it didn't ruin the calmness at all. The gym area was set back from the rooms but in a good location with a decent choice of machinery for a small holiday workout. There is also a small mini-mart at the entrance of the hotel which really came in handy for snacks or a different drink choice - also for gifts to take home. What really surprised me though was the food. It was incredible! The choice was fantastic, the quality was really up there with what you'd expect from an expensive restaurant and the taste... delicious. I like to try different things when I'm on holiday but I had the same meal twice because I had never had anything like it (and I still think about it today - it was the mushroom pasta dish, if you're interested). I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely use other Cook's Club hotels for future holidays.
Fantastic Stay for Great Value
The hotel was so chic and stylish! It was beautifully clean at all times and the staff were amazing! They were always so helpful and polite, trying to make our stay as brilliant as possible and I must say they achieved just that! Special shout out to Stergos who was always so positive and friendly! Another big shout out to Irene, Evi, Giannis, Michalis and Mr Thanasis! They were all so lovely and wonderful and we would definitely recommend to our friends and family to stay here! We are at the hotel a lot as we were loving how relaxing it was and we have to give compliments to the chef! Every meal was delicious, we loved the taziki, Seabass and chicken Buddha bowls! We can’t wait to come back next year!
Very good experience
This hotel is worth a visit. We booked a terrace room with a hot tub and amazing views. The hot tub was clean and you could smell the chlorine each time we used it. No issues at all. The room was well laid out and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and cocktails were of high standard. Thanks to everyone but I must mention the receptionist Irene, such a nice person. We knew when we booked the holiday the hotel was a little way out from Rhodes town however there were several good tavernas within walking distance and a bus stop nearby . We ate at Pegasus 3 times. Fantastic food and the girl who served us made us feel really welcome. This hotel caters for all ages. Thanks to all.
Lovely hotel, shame about the poor jacuzzi management and rude member of staff
We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon at the end of September. The location was perfect - at the edge of Kremasti and only a 25 min walk into Ialyasos with a bus stop at the bottom of the drive that will take you to Rhodes town quickly and easily. There is a small selection of bars and restaurants locally and we found all of the ones we visited to be excellent. The food and drink selection at the hotel was also great, although a little pricey the cocktails were fantastic. We chose to stay in a roof-top terrace room with a private jacuzzi. The photos make this look extremely private - it was not. We found our neighbours next door were overlooking our hot tub and that took away from the privacy we had been looking forward to. The view however, was stunning. We spent most of our time on the terrace soaking up the sun until the mid-afternoon before venturing out to explore. Initially, we used the jacuzzi a few times a day, being careful to follow the rules of showering before and after. However, we noticed that there may have been a leak and whenever we did use it, the terrace floor became flooded and therefor dangerous to walk on. When we asked about this at reception, they sent someone up who only filled the hot tub up again, which meant that the flooding only got worse. Being regular hot tub users with family members who own them, we know that they require regular cleaning and chemical top ups (chlorine etc) and this wasn’t done at all during our weeks stay. By day 4, we were unable to use it as it was getting grimy and I felt disgusting in it. I wouldn’t have said it was all that clean on our initial use either. Very disappointing as that is why we booked the room. Most of the staff were great, except for one male at the pool bar in the evenings who ultimately ruined the entire experience for us. He fat shamed us, told us what we could and could not orders was incredibly sexist and scolded us for the order we made our requests in. We may have came back to this hotel, as the rooms with the pools, near to the main swimming pool looked great but after our last evening, which nearly had me in tears - we won’t be returning. He was really awful.
