We'll come back soon 🕶️

We loved your beach though the weather was not perfect. We heard that from hotel's repeated guests thought we enjoyed it 😉 We had a late arrival and didn't realized the amazing view. It was a sea view room with shared pool. Great start for vacays. Ok, maybe the furniture is not so fascinating but everything was clean. We bought it for couple of days and not for the rest of our lives. Long, well equipped and clean beach. Tip for the hotel, pay attention to your sunbeds. Facility. I would say huge with dozens of nice gardens and pools. Few main buildings and lots of bungalows. Well-kept areas. Food. A lot and and tasty though it's a personal thing. Definitely visit an ala carte. Staff. Friendly, helpful and hospitality oriented. Excursions. Not even one and it's embarrassing. There are many places you can visit. Ask the Guest service. In general great escape and we'll definitely come back.

Sweet escape!

We are Greeks and we came from UK! We booked directly with the hotel since we found a really good deal and we wanted to visit our relatives who are living nearby! The resort is spotless, clean and enormous! The staff is very friendly and welcoming with the guests! They are smiling to everyone and greeting you every time they see you! The room was a bungalow with shared pool and restaurant Marina meets the expectations of fine dining! Thank you for the hospitality!

Amazing from start to finish!!!

So strap in and enjoy the review, it’s lengthy but I like to be as helpful as possible when writing one. Me, my husband and our 12 year old daughter have just returned from a week long trip here, and what an amazing experience it was. Yes, the transfer is long, but we were expecting it so I don’t know why some people sound surprised. It was worth the wait! Check in was really simple, and we were driven to our room with our luggage in a very handy golf buggy style vechile. We booked a double room with shared pool, and WOW was it worth the extra money we paid. It came with sea view was just incredible and the pool on our doorstep was just lovely. Being able to watch the sunset from our terrace area was a dream. The rooms were fine, they had everything we needed and anything it didn’t, reception were more than happy to provide it. The beds weren’t the best but it didn’t really bother us. We ordered room service one night, which was at an extra charge but it was reasonably priced and the portions are huge! The food was delicious though and any bottle of wine you ordered was half price which was great. So again, the pool we had was fantastic and only shared with one other couple the entire time we were there. The resort had other pools, we used the main one that overlooked the beach a few times, it was perfect. Massive shoutout to the animation team, they were AMAZING! From the water gym in the mornings to the beach volleyball in the afternoons. There was absolutely something for everyone, and the entertainment in the evening was so much fun. They were a credit to the hotel, we had nice chats with a few of them and they were so friendly. The beach that is on your doorstep is the best one I’ve visited, and I’ve been to four other destinations in Greece previously. Golden sand and a stunning view of Zakynthos. So I saw in a previous review that someone was claiming that they was charged €30 unknowingly which I can’t understand. The normal sunbeds are free, and the beach is full of them, never had a problem grabbing one. They do however have wooden daybed type sunbeds which were amazing and available to hire for €30, there were serval signs to tell you this and even a whole hut behind them dedicated to setting up these beds for you and taking payment, so I don’t understand how you can be confused? I wouldn’t be blaming the hotel for not paying attention. We hired one for the day and it added a little extra privacy and comfort that was well worth the cost. There were four bars that we noticed at the hotel. One of these (Kioski) is on the beach and is part of the all inclusive, another one is overlooking the beach called Cosy bar, this is must visit! We sat here several nights watching the sunset, amazing views and comfy chairs. All of the bars were lovely and the all inclusive menu was really good, a fantastic cocktail list. They did have premium spirits at a slight cost, my husband ordered a Jack Daniel's and it only cost €2 I think which was really reasonable. Apollo was the main bar where the entertainment happened in the evening, they even did table service which was great. Now the food…it was good. It’s what you expect when you book all inclusive, the main restaurant is buffet style. The breakfast was good, they had really good options. Don’t expect a full English, just won’t happen but they try to come close. The continental was really good and my daughter loved all of the fresh fruit every morning. Only problem we had was the wait every morning we had to get coffee from the machines, always a queue but not the hotels fault. Lunch was our favourite meal of the day, they had fresh pizzas being made all the time and they were so tasty! Always a variety of hot dishes, some of them really interesting, it was nice to try a few new things. Dinner was very similar, a lot of options and some really delicious food. There was one a la carte restaurant, Artemis which was Italian and was a set menu. Easy to book in at guest relations and the food was really lovely, definitely worth a visit. The staff at the hotel were so amazing, friendly and welcoming. They work so hard to keep the hotel running to a high standard and we were so appreciative for how enjoyable they made our stay, thank you! The resort has a few shops including souvenir shop, clothes shop and a little supermarket. It’s short walk away from a couple of other little shops too. We visited a local place for lunch one day called Solymar, it was a short walk away that takes you passed the Roman baths on the way and they serve the best margarita outside of Mexico. Food was lovely and the view while you eat was just second to none. The hotel offers bike hire and water sports, both were really good and you only incurred extra costs for certain choices. Overall our experience was a perfect one! We would definitely return to this part of Greece and in particular this hotel. Thank you Aldemar for an amazing experience for our family, we will see you again soon!

Disappointing Overall

The hotel is alright. Nothing fancy. In England it would probably get 3 stars I'd guess. It definitely isn't a 4+. It's absolutely huge and has a variety of pools which are nice enough. The beach is a redeeming factor as there's plenty of space and private. Rooms are nice enough and the beds are ok. Unfortunately that's pretty much it. For an all inclusive, there's a lot of extra charges. The all inclusive ends at midnight. Anything after is charged. For example, there's tennis courts but you have to pay to hire a racquet and also the balls. There really wasn't much variety for food, only the main restaurant was open(buffet) and a snack restaurant at lunch(same food different location) The animation team is great and does a good job of trying to keep you entertained. Don't organise anything through guest relations, you can get it much cheaper yourself. The transfer from Kalamata is about 2.5hours. It felt very isolated, outside of the resort there isn't much to do locally. Taxis aren't cheap either. Ancient Olympia was very nice though. Overall it definitely wasn't worth what we paid. Huge props to Maria on the beach bar though, definitely the best part!
