It's the People who make this hotel Extra Special.

This is a quaint, clean, quiet, and well run Boutique Hotel on the "Party" Island of Mykonos. Although this hotel is slightly off the beaten path, it's still a short 10 minute walk into the vibrant downtown Omos area. The view from our room here was fabulous. The breakfasts provided here were made fresh and hot. The pool is small but clean and refreshing. So now onto Maria (Manager), Harry (Asst. Manager) and Angelos (Service). These 3 people, and their support staff, are the big reason that the Anamar Blue is such a special spot. Maria's enthusiasm and energy is definitely contagious. There is nothing that this Lady will not do to make your stay here, and elsewhere on Mykonos, the very best time of your life. She is professional, knowledgable and would be an invaluable asset no matter she was in the hospitality industry. Harry is cut from the same cloth. As Maria told us, "I am teaching him everything I know". Well it shows in his capable and helpful attitude. These two are a great team. And not to forget Angelos, who just quietly goes about his work and always ensures that everything runs smoothly in this hotel. Every organization needs someone like Angelos. Not every hotel is as lucky as the Anamar Blue Mykonos. We left this hotel feeling like we had made some real friends and that's really special. Thank you.

Avoid

Not sure were to start. Hotel is dirty, breakfast is cold and cats walking all over the tables. When booking the hotel we could have booked transfers, decided to leave until nearer the time original price €25 2 days before we arrived we enquired with the hotel and was told it was €50 euro I went to book 30 minutes later and was informed it had gone up to €85 euro Our first morning at breakfast the guy working behind the counter was constantly coughing, could not believe the manager in charge didn't ask him to wear a mask. I would seriously question the managing of this hotel it was clearly obvious no one cared about the people staying or the cleanliness of this so called Hotel My garden view room looked out onto concrete certainly not a garden

Why Mykonos gets a bad name

Not a four star hotel. Terrible breakfast - no heaters used to keep food warm. Common areas in bad repair. Towels are years old and are discoloured and frayed. Overall this hotel is dirty, management are very inexperienced. For over 100 euro a night, this hotel gives the beautiful island of Mykonos a bad name.

Keep Away

You will need to look at my photographs that I have uploaded to believe my review! Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel in August 2022, we stayed for 6 nights and paid €200 per night bed and breakfast. The first thing we noticed when we arrived were the cushions in the seating area outside, they were dirty and badly stained. Some of the sun beds around the pool were in bad repair to the point, they looked dangerous if you were to sit back. We were shown to our room which on first impressions were disappointing. The bed had one locker the other side of the bed had the bathroom sink. The towels provided were hard and appeared to be years old. Under the bed had not been cleaned, it was full of dust and hair, I also found a used tin of hair gel there. The bathroom had dirt on the shower walls and rust marks on the floor, around the door was disgusting. My concerns were highlighted to Maria who I understand was the manager, I requested a new room for which she told me no rooms were available. I explained how dirty my room was and she said her housekeeper would “decontaminate my room.” Under the beds were cleaned, a new bed covering provided and that was it. The dirt around the door, rust marks on the floor and dirt on shower walls remained. Breakfast was terrible, everything cold , there looked as if there was equipment to keep the food hot but they didn’t seem to use it. I asked one morning why is the food cold and was told I could get it hot if I wanted it hot, I just needed to ask. Local cats were allowed to roam around the outside area where people were eating, they jumped on tables and ate food from plates that had not been cleared away. To be honest it got to the stage I knew there was no point complaining, it was obvious the staff did not care. This is certainly not a 4 star hotel, it is filthy and in need of repair. The staff are inexperienced and lack any sort of pride in their workplace. Based on my experience I think some of the 5 star reviews on this hotel are fabricated.

Outstanding Customer Service

Arriving for my eldest sons wedding, our family was dotted throughout the island. My two other sons stayed here. They reported to me such high levels of customer service that I felt it only appropriate to commend their efforts to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Staff made them feel like family! Thank you to all staff.
