Stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for a family all inclusive holiday. Yes we were aware that it wasn’t 4 or 5 star so bearing that in mind of course as you do, we went with an open mind. We arrived very late - nearly 4am and were offered a sandwich and drinks and a friendly welcome. Which was lovely after being delayed for so long and having had nothing to eat for over 12 hours. The staff throughout the stay were friendly. Especially Andreas the waiter. You have to check out his magic trick! Brilliant. My son loved coming to breakfast and seeing him. The pool area could do with a little tlc. Broken sun beds etc. The worst part of this is the putting your towel on a bed morning rush. We stayed in a bottom floor apartment and we could hear people at 6am scrambling to put their towels down! We stayed at a quiet time (season opening I presume) so the way to combat this was to just walk over to the water park and sunbathe there. Plenty of unbroken beds there. Obviously if it’s busier you may not be able to do this. The cocktail menu for an all inclusive is the best one I’ve seen in any hotel anywhere. Even more selection than 5 star hotels. Location wise - it’s great. You can walk into ayia napa centre within 25 minutes. Or stroll around the tops to nissi beach within 10 minutes. Plenty of food and drink available. Yes the selection can get a bit samey and the children’s section isn’t very big - but snacks are available for them too in the pool area. My son plays rugby and eats a lot. And he found the food plentiful. The evening entertainment is the same as I’ve found in any overseas hotel. Kids disco, bingo then a speciality act which is either a singer or flamenco dance troup - same everywhere. I’ve yet to find anywhere that does anything different. If you want to watch sports one night then head to mollies or New York bar. Even bedrock bar - all within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I’ve no complaints about the rooms. The cleaner came every day! Those who complain about sheets etc well just open your cupboard and get another blanket. Simple! Or ask at reception for another pillow. It’s not rocket science. The water park had a few slides closed still. The building work was going on around it. But we still had fun. It’s a 3 star all inclusive and it did exactly what it said on the tin. Price was exactly what I would expect to pay so I definitely wasn’t disappointed. We will be returning for sure.
Hard to be bad. A gorgeous spot on the beach, not bad accommodation. But before reviewing I can only gather that the COVID crises had a massive part to play in where this hotel is at right now. With investment this place could be lovely. Food was not amazing, a bit on the cold side, I found the dinners fine with lamb rice and other bits. Drinks ok, on tap although small plastic cups, snacks ok, but to be expected. Staff on the whole fine and friendly with kids. Room was a good size but could have been cleaner with better maintenance, but again I put this down to two years of COVID. Pool, warm, but not the cleanest I have been in, but I have been spoilt. Loungers ageing slightly but bearable. I have stayed in worse hotels and I have stayed in better but you pay for what you get. Just remember COVID has take two years toll on these places. With some investments a coat of paint and some menu changes it could be a cracking little hotel. Please Electra village up the standards and you will get people coming back. I love the setting and location.
Great family holiday
We traveled 4 adults 4 children. For a 3 star hotel we were more than happy with what we got . The rooms were beautiful we had three rooms in total, all rooms modern clean and comfy . Each room comes with kettle and fridge as an added bonus considering we were all inclusive. Cleaners cleaned out rooms bedding and towels daily and even gave us extra towels on check out day as we had late checkout so re showered . Food was great always found something we liked . There were some things we didn’t enjoy as much but that’s the beauty of all inclusive you go and get another plate of something else . Staff were friendly and helpful and always willing to talk to us and the children . Water park was great perfect size for the children aged 5,7,9,12 and us adults who enjoyed the lazy river. The location is brilliant not in the middle of the night life but a short walk to shops restaurants and public transport . We had a Great time and would return and recommended .
Never been so glad to be home!
On arrival at 3am we were given ham and cheese sandwiches and some drinks. First impressions were great. Next morning at breakfast, food was cold tasteless and undercooked. Our room looked lovely however we ended up moving on dat 3 due to been infested with ants. We moved room and twice after locking the door woke up to it been wide open! The shower flooded our appsrtment and reception said the handyman had gone home so they sent a waiter up with a butter knife who said it was okay. We had to use blankets from the wardrobe to stop the water coming out of the bathroom. Our main door was broken and on returning to our room every day we had to find the black top to scan the card to get in. Food was awfull we ate out every day breakfast lunch an dinner. The kids menu was ridiculous for children and the adult selection was just as bad. One day u witnessed a waiter drop a fork, look around to see if anyone saw, polish it off and put it back on the table! Most of thr sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and water park were broken and for the ones that did work you had to be up at 5.30am to reserve them.. half of those who did left them empty all day! At the water park the wave pool was broken our entire stay, as was the younger children's area none of the food stated on TUI site was available and none of the facilities IE kids club, table tennis were there and most of the games machines were out of order. The sliding door in reception was also broke and you had to open and close it yourself which was dangerous for the kids I trapped my fingers a few times. Overall we spent more money on eating out than we did the entire holiday. Not one TUI rep in site for our entire stay he was never at the desk. We had to ask for our bedding to be changed and towels as when we stripped the beds the maids would just re make them with the dirty sheets and re fold our towels. All in all we were massively disappointed and will not return to this hotel. If it hadn't of been for the amazing restaurants located around the hotel we would of absoloutly starved all holiday.
We loved it so, so much!
Are you traveling with kids and want somewhere safe and fun and clean but with no fuss? You've found yourself a perfect hotel! We liked pretty much everything about this place and while some things like restaurant and lobby decor could be improved - we didn't really care about them, frankly. Our apartment was on the ground floor and was really spacious and nice with a double doors leading to a terrace. There was a double bed and 2 single beds in the apartment, all clean and comfy. The gardens around the buildings are pretty and there is also a play park for the kids. We all liked the food, amazing salads and fish every day, lots of snacks available throughout the day, too. All staff were lovely and super friendly and that's probably why there is such a good holiday vibe at this place. We particularly liked the aquapark which was clean and safe and right across the road from the hotel. The pool at the hotel is massive and super warm (inflatables allowed!). There is also a sandy beach very close by - so that's a bonus. This is a very good hotel for a family, no frills perhaps, but lots of fun! We would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. PS. Please remember to bring your own beach towels unless you are prepared to pay couple of euros per towel per day (surely, that could be changed, Electra?).
